    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

If you do a shift+reload it should load a fresh copy of the page and bypass whatever you have cached.

No. I like them so I'll have to check them out. Their covers are pretty fun.

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

Whoops. I was rushing this morning and I didn't update the URL so it was pulling the 2007 maps instead of the 2012. When you zoom in you can see the people hanging out in front of the packing house now.

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

I've added the 2012 NJGIN imagery in. You'll need to clear your cache/force reload to get them to show. Hold down shift while you press the reload button in your browser. On Safari on my Mac I had to do it twice before the changes would load. Edit: Boyd, do you know of a WMS service URL for...

    They just won't stop

From what I understand many PPA/NJCF people showed up as well as a number of OTNJ/pro access people. It was a calm and professional meeting. I would have loved to have gone, but 9:30AM on a weekday is when most people have to be at work. (I don't understand how the Pinelands Commission can...

Washington Tpke 745 acre thinning bid

I feel like Washinton Turnpike is already plenty wide.

Washington Tpke 745 acre thinning bid

This is old news, too. I didn't hear a peep from the PPA complaining about this, and I've heard less and less from them about the pipelines. I think this would be a pretty extreme way of fire suppression management, if that's what this is for.

    I love that song.

    They just won't stop

Just thought that I should update this. After I posted this thread Jason reached out to me with his phone number and asked me to call him. I think that me discussing things in private with him does everybody involved in this process a huge disservice. The people involved in this really need to...

    Advice on waterproof boots?

I would have loved to have had my Bean Boots yesterday. The slush puddles at nearly every crosswalk in Manhattan were really deep and disgusting.

Request for Evidence from the Pinelands Preservation Alliance (PPA)

It's just so amazing that nobody over there realizes that some dialog and a desire to compromise a little would have likely prevented a lot of the bad feelings. There's a lot more people who are aware of the PPA now, and don't hold them in a positive light. How does that help them protect the...

Request for Evidence from the Pinelands Preservation Alliance (PPA)

Well don't forget this quote from Jacklyn Rhoads: "There may be an initial backlash, but then people will forget." So I guess the strategy is to not say anything, hope the public forgets, and attempt their end around with the Pinelands Commission.

Trust me, I would rather not have to post it either.

    They just won't stop

http://www.saveh2onj.org/takeaction/support-wharton-state-forest-plan Jason, I know you're getting paid to shill this party line, but come on: could you write a more one-sided press release? You neglected to mention that there's a lot of fellow environmentalists (well respected ones, to...

    Oil drilling in Plumstead/Jackson?

Beck mentioned oil wells in Prospertown (I think) in one of the Forgotten Towns books.

    Advice on waterproof boots?

There's a bunch of really good boot makers in the US. One thing that I really liked about Truman is that it's something like 5 guys and their dogs working out of a barn in PA. But the quality is top notch. I wouldn't wear them on a hike though. I'd cry the first time briers scratched them up.

    Advice on waterproof boots?

I know there's rubber taps that a cobbler can put on for you. I'd love a leather soled boot (just because I think they look awesome) but I'd be too afraid to get it too wet.

    Advice on waterproof boots?

I recently had a pair of boots made by the Truman Boot Company up in the Poconos. They do extremely small runs of boots and are incredibly customizable. They're also very expensive and take forever to get to you, but the results are worth it, IMHO. They're done with stitchdown construction...

    Advice on waterproof boots?

Well I think the MHS is a different animal than the Bean boot. The Bean boot has a metal shank for arch support whereas the MHS does not. Otherwise they're pretty similar. Now the "not for cold weather" bit bothers me, since my main goal was to have these to wear when there was deep snow on the...
