I had not heard that William Richards built a mansion on his property. From what I understood he just had a farm up there. Apparently he was quite a strange guy.
I believe I have the same tripod. The center column is reversible so you can basically hang the camera upside down and get down to ground level with it.
I met Karen after I did a review of Whispers in the Pines for this site. She has been a supporter of NJPineBarrens.com as well as a supporter of my own writing and a good friend. I will really miss her.

Given that I've given the truck more than it's fair share of scrapes in the woods and a dent or two while living in Princeton, it's really not that big of a deal.
