    Ye Great Cedar Swamp

I find it very interesting, that the Great Cedar Swamp (as an entity), actually drains to both the ocean and the bay.

    Ye Great Cedar Swamp

By the way, when I first entered the swamp, a person started firing a loud weapon that sounded like a shotgun. It was very close to me, I thought. In about 20 minutes he fired 40 rounds. I suppose he was reloading. At one point he fired 14 rounds without reloading. When I did my round-about walk...

    Ye Great Cedar Swamp

Yes, I'm getting a deep orientation to Middle Township. The main artery route 47 is a livesaver. Plus, there are enough Parkway exits to get me close to where I want to go.

    Ye Great Cedar Swamp

First visit to this in Dennis Township. While it is vast and beautiful, the cedar quantity does not live up to it's name. But, they are overall larger and taller than ours here north of the Mullica. This track took several hours to navigate. I did not want to go too far as I had no car at the...

A brake rotor. I find it funny that they didn't know what it was. They were a great group though. Very energetic and interested. PS: I'm ok with you or Boyd deleting these posts about the brake rotor. Keep the thread cleaner.

Post Your Old Car Finds Here

I was just kind of waiting to see if somebody knew what they had found based upon this thread. I should have said "guess what it was". Can you guess?

Post Your Old Car Finds Here

Today was the Forked River Mountain cleanup. I was on the mountain with some college students. They found an "odd metal disc" about a foot in diameter.

    Zeb's Bridge

I don't know about that, but I do want to say that Prince was one of the greatest guitar players I have ever seen. That talent was amazing, and overshadowed by his remarkable songwriting ability and his musical talent overall.

    Evapotranspiration in our Pine Barrens

Very interesting Mark. I would have thought oaks would draw more water. That word "exploitation" of the groundwater -- it sounds like they knew the area would be built up, and so they were trying to help ensure enough water for all?

Any plans for next April's total solar eclipse?

Very interesting Guy. Did you notice the train whistle echos?

    Evapotranspiration in our Pine Barrens

Interesting presentation. Bottom line theory is, when the pines are jam-packed together and so more able to suck water out of the ground (and thereby evaporate more water to the atmosphere), our aquifers are more rapidly depleted. At least that's what I get out of it. I knew about...

Groups Fighting Forest Fires Before They Even Star

I like to see fire breaks around communities. But, I wish there would be more online maps showing wildfire locations during and after the fire, to include the boundaries of the burns such as they do in the aerial map in the article.
