    New Ford Bronco

Ha! I once took the top off my 75 Jeep CJ5, put down the windshield, and and drove from Mount Misery to the bogs behind Lebanon Lakes while standing up. I had one foot outside on the running board to balance it out. It was a summer day, and the fresh wind and tunes blaring from the speakers...

[PPA] Park Police Need Tools to Combat ORV Abuse

Thank you for saying that. Regarding the PPA, they were in the past, and could be in the future, a force for good. I think they just went way overboard here. They forgot or ignored people like us. One of their most egregious faults lately is allowing too many people within their organization to...

[PPA] Park Police Need Tools to Combat ORV Abuse

I would not count on that, and I would not think ill of Brendan Byrne. Does he go out in the woods regularly? No, of course not, and he maybe never did. He is a big picture man, I doubt if he would be in on all the details, and perhaps he is there in name only (especially at his age)...

    Where is this?

That is a pretty neat gate. I can imagine the motorcyclist checking it out and wondering if his bike could make a turn that sharp. :)

    Tour Wharton ORV Destruction

This thread got confused by another poster's tactic of hit and run. It happens all the time. If you are going to post something, and someone challenges you and it turns out you were wrong, eat your humble pie and apologize. It'll make you a better man, and it makes for a better blogging community.

    Frozen cranberry slush

Why don't you buy those iron-oxidizing heating pads? It's worth a try. I use them all the time for my hands, and sometimes my toes. I have poor extremity circulation...

Washington Tpke 745 acre thinning bid

You have a good point, but I don't think it will be horrendous. You might see more Japanese bush clover, but normally, when this is done, bracken fern, stagger-bush, and huckleberry are the first to come back. These pineland plants very aggressively cover the ground, keeping competition out...

I'm sure they are talking about periodic burns on both sides of the road.

Deal struck to hike NJ gas tax 23 cents

I cannot understand what the hell is being set up here. I need a flow chart.

Washington Tpke 745 acre thinning bid

Here comes the sun! New plant growth locations in all the wet spots. It will be interesting. I never worry about this. It bounces back real quick if you let it go. Lack of funding usually drives it to that end.

How do we stop the damage?

Oh, I see, this is just your personal position then. My error. For a moment there, I thought it was the new position of some of the stakeholders.

How do we stop the damage?

I agree with Pine Barrens Advocate. A lot of you were okay with the correct Topo Map before. Let's not change in midstream and make this so hard. You'll lose State support. Like you, I may unknowingly wander onto a trail that is not on the map. If I get caught, my fault.

I'm giving it to you Tom. Not Buckingham, but 2 miles east along the railroad from Buckingham.

Chance of getting caught in trap?

I'm pretty sure, though not positive, that most beaver traps are either in the water at a dam or in the water at the shoreline, where it's usually obvious the pests are entering the water there. At the least, stay away from those areas in the water.

Guy, do you think that is also for standard household and construction dumping? Seems specifically for hazardous waste. ??

    Resevoir News

Wow, that man Savino really knows the history of that area. He pieced together quite a puzzle. I once fished at Monksville Reservoir, but not from a boat. I climbed the large wooded hill behind the reservoir to get to the other side. I've never had more ticks on me in such as short walk as...
