    Identify this?

Boy, that is a tough one with no tail. I'm going to throw this out there, and maybe the more experienced can confirm or dispute: a.) Junvenile Cooper's hawk. b.) Juvenile Red-shouldered hawk.

The Cranberry Packing House At Hampton Park

I have two comments: 1) Is the "E" missing in eatmor on the poster an error? 2) Was Hampton Furnace really that far down the stream from where we always thought it was? Or is it just me that does not really know where it is.

    Champion trees,no Mutha

Al, I peed behind the tree, but not on it. Due to the size of the tree, a car could not see me for 400 yards in either direction as they approached. I smell a road trip! We should go and visit as many as we can in one day. Kind of like a marathon.

I agree. And to be even more precise (but much less poetic)... a lovely bird set in Schizachyrium scoparium, Euthamia tenuifolia, and Panicum virgatum.

"And the fact that Albert Hall advertises its Saturday night shows as "the Sounds of the Jersey Pines" rubs some locals the wrong way. Preserved Land Equals Millions in Aid?

http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/breaking/article_81675264-fc2d-11df-9456-001cc4c002e0.html You know, I have not thought this out yet, but my initial thought is that giving these municipalities 'all' this money should not be necessary. They must have built the town services up around...

    bay days

Bill, in the first photo, are those flocks of birds in the far background? I like how the reeds are in a lot of the photos....showing the inevitable....the future to come. And after that, the sea.

    How far north?

Maybe they are in your area. Down here they make up and color our background and define our area of exploration and interest. We don't think of them as ugly.
