    The big Burn

Aye Matey, you have a point there. It'd be great if they helped everything flourish there by removing everything down to bare sand. They left great hunks of roots and such.

    Beer (again)

You lucky dog you. Sitting in a nice bar drinking with a purty girl on yer arm telling you how big and strong you are....and you whispering sweet nuthins in her ear. The only think you lacked was a phillies blunt.

    Hurricane Bill

Nice shots Pancoast. I really like the surfer in the tube, the sun through the clouds, and especially the last shot. I swear I can her the roar of the surf and cry of that gull in that one.

I am just not up on grasses yet. But to me, it does look like Nuttall's. I spent yesterday poking around Port Republic and Nacote Creek. Very nice area for plants. I also took a ride out to Oyster Creek and Leeds Point.

    Born in Hermman City

I can believe this. Hermman is on the 1974 quad map, and there were a few structures very close to Hermman City proper shown.

    Hot summer evening bike ride

Guy, I looked that website over. There is quite a history there in East Greenwich going back a long ways. I have been through areas like that over the years, and it's kind of sad. Not so much that things are changing, because we expect that, but that some of the very old houses are still there...
