    What is This Thing ?

There are some research points in my stretch of Wharton right now with flagging and codes written on the flagging. There is one within 200 yards of my house. I will check codes to see if they look like what is handwritten on the bag

    What is This Thing ?

Interior is reflective so it is likely intended to insulate. More handles than a normal cooler bag but if it was even filled half way it would be incredibly heavy, like 350 lbs if it were pure water. Mysterious that it has QR codes in three places but no other info.

    What is This Thing ?

I found this bag the other day in the woods near my home. It collapses to a flat panel and opens to a 24" high x 24' x 18" bag with multiple heavy duty hand loops. Each panel zips at the top for insertion of a rigid panel. It is very well made and has three QR codes on it. I checked multiple...

    Beaver in the Delaware River

One of two 330's that I found along The Albertson. I have tried 3 times to fix this but the photos need to be rotated clockwise. The first one 180 degrees and the second one 90 degrees. They are correct in my photo folder on my desktop but when I select them here they come in twisted. ??????

    Beaver in the Delaware River

Pretty lame beaver "attack". Found a couple of 330 Conibears set in the bogs out front last week. I really gotta keep an eye on the dog with those in the water. I hope whoever set them gets a few beaver. We're overrun back here.

    Quack, quack

Thanks Al ! Hunters support NJ outdoors by way of funding habitat purchases and wildlife management that benefit all outdoorspeople (Is that a word ?) through our license and our somewhat staggering permit fees. It also seems to me that many people have no idea what the Pittman-Robertson Act...

Icy morning on Friday, December 14

The only fish I ever had mounted. 26" caught in 1984 just upstream of the Batsto boat launch. Mounted by Rib's. The roof of the mouth is incredible. Hundreds of teeth, all angled back, to prevent their prey from escaping.

Icy morning on Friday, December 14

That's a chain pickerel. Probably the most common fish in the pines. Very tolerant of cold and low pH waters. Fun as hell to catch. I have baked them and smoked them but they are extremely challenging to ewnjoy because of their incredibly bony structure. I always tell people that even their...

    Where is this?

Improperly extinguished cigarette on the deck. https://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/woman-killed-in-bass-river-fire-identified/article_0013d029-a630-5ada-a386-9816e0e73db1.html

    Where is this?

I don't know where it is but I note an unusual construction feature that is not usually seen. The masonry block continues all the way to the gable peak, requiring that all of the block carrying the roof to be cut on an angle and then filled to create a bearing surface for the first rafter. The...
