So what are you doing for Valentines Day?

Happy B Day Sue Gremlin! As for me, I went to my weekly sportmen's club meeting, as usual. Our club has not missed a weekly meeting since 1938. This is our 70th year. I have to admit, I haven't made quite all of those meetings. :) I told the bride that we would go out to dinner tomorrow...

    Know what these are?

Their location is within view of a lot of houses and they looked to have been recently placed there. IMO, probably brought home by a builder/remodeler from a jobsite and then drug into the woods by his kids or someone else's kids. Damn kids. :)

Thanks for posting this Jim. I am not sure I can swing it though, as I may be hitting the AC Boat Show Sunday.

    Riding in the pines

Davensj The first response was a little harsh. You are doing everything right by planning on cruising the pines legally with a tagged dual sport. I started in the pines on legal bikes, (DT-400's) in the late 70's. I would ride to Jackson Road from Gibbsboro and start my woods rides at the...

    Barn

Great post George. Even though I know the location very well, I have never had occasion to see the barn up close. The house and barn are the oldest functional structures in Pestletown.

    I hit a beaver

Rabbits are rodents too and they are way good eatin'. I taught my younger son over Christmas break how to make rabbit stew from dead rabbits on the table to steaming bowl with fresh Italian bread and sharp provolone on the side. He has been hunting since he was 10, as has my older son but they...

Hints of Places Here and There

We have a 22 year old CAD operator at work who spends his weekend indoors playing video games. The outside world to him is either too cold, too warm, too windy or too something to be enjoyable. He is into a game now called World of Warcraft. It consumes him. It scares the sh$t out of me that...

    I hit a beaver

I went to the NJ Fur Harvestors convention this year and a guy was demonstrating case skinning a beaver and he said he saves all of the meat for the table. He said it is very good, similar to a stewing beef and does well in slow cooked meals. Always a shame to see a good roadkill of any...

    I hit a beaver

I would take it Jeff but I cannot get up there today. I would think it would be gone by tonight which is the earliest I can get there. Plus it is supposed to hit 60 today. Thanks for the offer.

The "March of Ives" a PBX Hike

What a beautiful day in the woods. I really liked the lake and the large indian grass field on top of the hill next to the lake. The club that used to be there must have had some great times at that place. Here are some of my pics: Following the leader through the swamp...
