Not the best photo, but I am totally excited that we have Comptonia at work and finally didn't sell out, (yet), so I was able to get one!

Back in the late 80's early 90's I work in Seaside on the boardwalk and saw a moon rise that looked like this one except it appeared more red-orange. Perhaps the moon wasn't as close as it is in this video, but it was still one of the most magical moments of my life.

This is a deciduous azalea flower taken with the D50 and the lens is a Nikkor 18-200 VR

I have a Nikon D50 and have looked at at macro lenses - so expensive but worth it. I take a ton of close up shots of plants and bugs, but, there is definitely a difference in the overall aesthetic and quality.

After holding it up to light on a few different occasions I haven't seen any movement. For some reason I wouldn't think it would feel as heavy as it does if it were dead though. I don't see any small holes. I guess time will tell.
