Isn't pennsauken west of the fire? My mother was driving home to West deptford from Pitman last night and she said that she could smell smoke all along Woodbury Glassboro road. The smoke from the Wharton fire looks like it is blowing east. Is there a fire in PA.?

I'm pretty sure the wind shifted last night and was blowing the smoke west. My wife was on Rt 30 and Franklin Ave in Berlin and it was very strong. I was in Voorhees last night and the smell was also strong. I was at an apartment complex and I was walking around searching for the BBQ because it smelled like somebody was smoking up a fine piece of meat!

Everyone smells the smoke. From Bellmawr, to Ocean City, to Maple Shade, to Pemberton. Last night when I got done work at 3am, you could still see and smell the fog in the lights from the smoke. When I got to Maple Shade, you could still smell it. Amazing.

Hopefully the approaching storm will bring a soaking rain to the area and put any remaining fire out.

It looks like the heavy parts are moving in a southeasterly direction. It may not hit it where we need it. http://www.accuweather.com/radar-st...&site=VA_&type=SIR&anim=1&level=state&large=0

eh actually.... I have no idea ::laughs::

Wharton Fire

Glad the fire did not get as far as Dave's place.Dave always called the road from his place to Constable Bridge "The Old W.P.A. Road".I heard the fire jumped the Mullica River.Have not heard where.Does anyone know?

LOL... It's hard to know what's going to happen, these storms break up or take a left turn without warning! But this one is getting really close to the area now... there should be at least some rain I think.
