Odd Rumbling Sounds

Anyone else hearing odd thunder sounds that almost feel like small tremors in Shamong area? Been going on for last 1.5 hours. Sounds like a bombing range. Very odd…

Yes turns out it was the joint base, crazy how loud it was this time.

Just felt two pretty big shockwaves of some kind here, shook the house a little. Could have been a sonic boom maybe, but didn't seem like one. Anybody else notice something? Don't see anything on USGS list around here. It was about 4:32 or 4:33 I believe.

On Friday, I was at a property adjoining the ranges at Dix and the sounds of the explosions were the loudest I have ever heard. There was also a lot of small arms firing and lesser booms which I suppose were the mortars. When I got home (about 5 miles from the ranges) the artillary practice continued until 11:45 at night. Along with the practice were several aircraft flying at very low altitude. Dix-McGuire-Lakehurst does publish a monthly schedule of daily anticipated noise levels. I never get tired of the noise which many people call the "sound of freedom".

Yeah ordinarily I would automatically assume joint base. But it was at like 10pm on a day it rained 3-4inches with winds blowing 20mph. Given that I assumed no way it was the base. Actually thought it was maybe drops in air pressure since temp went down fast. Great info, thanks.
