Wow it is pouring with thunder
If it were, it could have been over 30" depending on temps.
Did it get warm today after the rain or what!!!
Nor'easter maybe by the weekend.
Supposed to start this afternoon. My lawn is still making squishy sounds wherever I step. It's gonna be a while before the earth dries out around here. I pulled a broken fence post out of the ground yesterday afternoon and the 30" hole it left behind instantly filled with water like a well.
I drained my snowblower yesterday and put it into storage. That should guarantee that a blizzard is coming.
BIG nor'easter they say, with a full moon as well.
1 to 2 inches of rain doesn't sound bad. 50 to 65 MPH wind gusts could be a problem though. Might be a good idea to check your generator...
In like a Lion?
That's permanently ready to go. May need a bilge pump though... My son was at the Brigantine meeting and RT 30 had the bay lapping at the shoulder with just the start of the full Moon helping the tide along.
I seen this site posted before but skiped over it at the time
Just heard a BOOM and given the current weather was curious...
Pretty cool, picked it up and was nothing else close on map
I saw the flash too before the boom. That’s a cool site thanks
When I clicked on my link to make sure it worked the strike had disappeared from google (did you see it on map?)
But it does still show on the site the data comes from...
Yes I did. I also noticed it’s not a good time to be offshore fishing right now lol
Got almost 3 inches of rain here last night - and look at this forecast. Could be rough going on the little sand roads for awhile....

It's time to build the ark.
Also a good time to check your sump pump, if you have one.
And call mosquito control
I remember a year when I lived in Medford... maybe 2004?... where it stayed wet and humid for a few weeks. Everything was covered with mold. I still have some tools that were stored in my toolbox in the finished basement, and the mold left marks permanently etched into the plastic handles.
