My best guess was Crataegus uniflora, maybe. It shows up in Howard Boyd's book, anyway. And it has some local observations.

Ooh, a peloric Pogonia. I remember seeing a peloric Calopogon on a PBC trip to Forsythe about 15 years ago (you might have been there, in fact).I saw this funky Rose Pogonia a few years ago.
