These are from almost exactly a year ago. I realized I never posted them here. I would very much like to return to the same spot this year and see how they are doing, if I can find the time.
I had to navigate through a maze of fallen Cedars, but this was my reward.
It was raining semi hard and semi dark early this morning when we visited this site with Twayblade. Jessica twisted her leg an odd way and was hurt. She rested it while we drove around and then went to watch Mark Demitroff's presentation in Pemberton.
I returned yesterday to check. Still looking good, but they are not ready yet. The area is a lot more flooded right now.
Couple of other things.
Yesterday, success. Just needed to shift the search a bit further into the swamp.
This spot is really, really nice. The cedars, and the flowing water, and the pink. Just serene. It's great to see so many, even though most are not in bloom.

Walked along the Mullica today. Also saw Hudsonia, and sand myrtle. Did not see a whole lot else in bloom.
Wandering around today. I didn't see any Erigeron

Yes, Aronia. It was in a mowed area and is a few inches tall. Would the Erigeron be a Bryce Harper fan?
