Ben's Branch, Stephen Creek
Sun came out, so I went for a walk before it got any hotter - already quite a steam bath! Looks like 3 to 4 inches of rain in my wheelbarrow, which agrees with that map. The creek level is almost up to the banks again but no flooding in my lowlands, the ground was very thirsty! :)

Radar doesn't really show anything headed towards the pines (at the moment), maybe it's over? Or not. That very localized storm in Wharton a few days ago was supposed to be about 2 to 3 inches. When you add the totals from this storm, there must be some flooding around there.

Now the really hot weather arrives, 93 tomorrow, 96 Monday, 99 Tuesday, 97 Wed and finally dropping to 85 on Thursday. :siren:

Loud clap of thunder in the night woke me up. Not sure if it rained as I went right back to sleep.

For the week we have had .48 inches and since midnight we have had .02. The last lighting strike was 5 hours ago and it is 5:11 AM now. So it must have been around midnight we had a small storm.

Just came in from a walk, the wind started blowing (felt refreshing on a hot muggy night!) and sky got dark here. No rain so far, it's all tracking North of me. There are some cells in Maryland headed my way though.

It's moving out now, got some rain here, didn't seem like a lot. There are more storms down in Virginia and North Carolina that might find their way up here later tonight. But the heavy rain appears to be in Ocean and Burlington counties right now, this warning is currently in effect
