even without the body hair that dude is right down scary.I believe he dies of a spine curvature disease.They say once folks reach around 7.5 ft tall spinal problems become common.
No he didn't Ben. He did not die of that, in fact, he died in thePine Barrens. The Jersey Devil got to him, hahahahaha
coulda swore I read in the Guiness book of records back in the 70's it was his spine.I was a kid then,musta got confused between now and then.

On July 4, 1940, during a professional appearance at the Manistee National Forest Festival, a faulty brace irritated his ankle, causing a blister and subsequent infection. Doctors treated him with a blood transfusion and emergency surgery, but his condition worsened, and on July 15, 1940, he died in his sleep at age 22.
It is so funny. When I was a wittle wittle girl, I did a report on this monstrosity in grammar school. Oh those were the days. Who is the tallest person now??
