Are you sure Forest Gump didn't say that? When I was a young man, a feisty woman described snowstorms to me with a wink and a smile as "you never know how long it's gonna last or how many inches you're gonna get".

I always check out the Forecast Discussion from the National Weather Service. It’s very technical but they present the data without hyping it up like the news stations do.
I have converted a few people to NOAA users over the years but very few. It seems that most people actually like McWeather, as I call anything other than NOAA, with the bells, whistles, pop-up ads, sensationalized forecasts and irritating alerts every time a cloud glides by.I always check out the Forecast Discussion from the National Weather Service. It’s very technical but they present the data without hyping it up like the news stations do.
