Don't ya just hate it when you start installing something, then go away to do tie rod ends and come back to find the computer asking you a question instead of completing the task? I have Comcast and they provide McAfee for free on my PC. I never noticed them offering Norton. Is that a Mac thing...

    Snow ??

My driveway with flash without this stuff is wet! A big fire, more than 1/2 cord of wood in the garage 6 out back, generators gased up, lots of extra fuel and fresh diesel, we'll handel it.

    Snow ??

The snowthrower sounds interesting. I'm using a small tractor with a FEL and I have mountains. I am running out of places to put snow. Let us know how the thrower handles the wet stuff. Does it run OK on skids in the sand? How about twigs?

I have many old maps and brochures of the trail but nothing of the detail that would support my previous post, nor could I find one on line. I did however find this ammusing site for a hike on the trail for the bargain price of$1000. They will even sell you equipment, check out the menu...

    Mark Your Calender

You know Karl, I was thinking, the Donner Party had better digs than you guys, they built cabins. There problem was that they ran out of food, well until they started to improvise. :)

Old foot bridge at Batona Camp

It was once the Batona Trail. I remember the bridge back in the 70's. If you look closely you can still see the pink on trees leading down to it. The Batona Trail has been moved several times along it's route. It used to follow the road from Lower Forge to Quaker Bridge, now it's in the woods...
