    A Twelve Hour Day

decimated beaver island.... Guy, The area where you saw the lone island decimated by beavers is actually a beaver den that has been in constant use for over 125 years..... The den is more pronounced and obvious when the water levels are down. I am told that the den is even shown on some old...

    Northen Fence Lizard

Lizard sighting! I saw this one at Friendship last fall and we hung around together for about 20 minutes. It was scurrying up and down the tree and playing "peek-a-boo" around the tree. Seemed sociable. I have also seen them very skittish at times too. turtle

:) Thanks oji.... and Gabe and Yvonne.....Zoe is truly precious. What a great dog and lucky too! I think her eyes caught the reflection of the license plate that she was playing "catch" with. It made the picture look scary. Did you have your outing tonight? Ooops! You are probably...

    Mink?

Found one on the road, dead and "undamaged" last year on the EHC side of the Lower Bank bridge. It was pretty easy to identify it since it kept still.... :) I actually 4X wrapped it in plastic, put it in my freezer, and gave it to a friend who sells pelts. They have a small white patch under...

Gosh Whip, You make it all look so darn easy! Curious.....is the first picture upside down? It is softly surreal. Re: the photo of Glo wearing blue - When I first read Glo's post on the forum she had just been here visiting (a year or two ago). She took a bunch of photos around the...

The Ballad of The Bunty Shoe

Munion Field was/is here......not quite sure about Munion Hill. But, just above the letters "ion" on this map the elevation climbs fairly well and the old road cuts right through it. http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.663658364644654&lng=-74.39344882965088&z=15&type=topo&gpx= turtle
