    A Crawleys paddle, again.

This paddle never ceases to amuse me. We started at the Mullica canoe launch just above Batsto on Rt 542. Some sand art: OOOOZZZZE, Iron leaching out from a hill. I first wondered how to spell Ooze but then realized it wasn’t a word but rather an experience. Somewhat...

between the lake and the beaver pond. Why hurry, there's a whole universe surrounding you. The pickerel rush was out, but becoming long in the tooth. The bees enjoyed them! The white lillies were out in acres The yellow are not far behind. The underside of a...

    Horses at Batona Camp

The camp is full of travel trailers, horse trailers and horses! I don't know how long they have been there but I first saw them Saturday and they are still encamped today. Except for the weather I wish I could join them. These pictures don't do it justice, I mean the camp is pretty much full.

I found this dense stand of Turkey Beard near Carranza this weekend. We stopped counting at 60 heads. They will soon return to an inconspicuous grass. Guy, your closeups inspired me to try some with my new camera. The second picture obviously has a depth of field issue...
