    school project

Good luck on your essay. The demise of the pinebarrens...sounds kind of grim and you might have a hard time with the all the organizations and legislation you will be counting on for information, as it/they are politically motivated to preserve it. Here is a suggestion: The demise of...

Nature's Rest Resort and Buckingham Bogs and Ruins

Nice ride Ben!! Nice report also. Wow, you really wasted no time in getting out there huh? I will have to check this area out. Looks very interesting from the pics. This doctor's pond looks very enticing as well. From the pics the water looks very clear. Much like cedar creek or the coopers...

    Mount Misery Bogs

Ahhhh, those bogs are among my favorite. I've spent a considerable amount of time back there over the past 10 years particularly. Here I am at my official "thinking" spot in that area. Thinking in this case about pickerel (what else?) You were not far off from the ruins of Van Note...

Nice report Mark! That is a very wild area. I saw a huge rattlesnake in roughly that vincinity a while back. Bob, I think we were in that savanna on the seven scenic savannas hike. Jeff

    Corduroy road found, maybe.

Nice find. It is probably a cordory road. There are quite a few in the great swamp and if you were in a sizable cedar swamp anywhere there is usually one about, but this one sounds like it might be considerably old if the timber was completley subterrian. If you could mention where this was...

    White Deer

They are probably not albino. I have seen piebald in the same vicinity that appear almost entirely white. However, if you were to look them over closely I suspect you would find a little brown here and there and brown eyes. Jeff

    Cedar Water & Homebrew

cedar water and aquifer water should be very different I suspect, as the aquifer is not subjected to the influence of cedar and iron. Although the aquifer is high in iron I believe. Jeff

Scary Abandoned House between Tuckerton and New Gretna

Yeah, it does look good in that photo. I pulled up to it one night just to freak out my wife. It worked. I would say it is creepy. It is interesting that it is that old. I had no idea. That web site is very nice (the bass river link) I especially like the outhouse photo gallery. Jeff
