    Whimper

HA! Especially ironic as I read this sitting here at work. I was the only one who made it in today after taking shifts with my father helping pump out my grandmother's basement all night. She's been in her house (which is on relatively high ground) for 57 years and NEVER had water until now...

    Governor Corzine Crashes the Pines...Literally

Kinda scary to know that people like that are driving around!

    Governor Corzine Crashes the Pines...Literally

Just heard that Brian Thompson (NBC4 New York reporter) was on MSNBC saying that the Governor will receive a ticket.

    Governor Corzine Crashes the Pines...Literally

Well technically no, he's not supposed to be, but he IS the Governor. Is the Trooper driving him REALLY going to say "Sir you really should be wearing a seatbelt?" Of course not. Is that the way the law works? Of course not, but such is life. Either one of two things will happen-either...

    Governor Corzine Crashes the Pines...Literally

From all the reports today I've read that he's got a couple of broken ribs, a really bad femur fracture, a broken collarbone, and needed a lot of blood. With that kind of trauma the only place to go in South Jersey is Cooper in Camden-an ambulance would take at least an hour and a half wouldn't it?

    Governor Corzine Crashes the Pines...Literally

Seriously-who in their right mind would cut off a line of black Suburbans and Crown Victorias!? You gotta know its either the Governor or the President! In any event, I wish him a speedy recovery.

    Governor Corzine Crashes the Pines...Literally

Too early for a print media story but on my way home 101.5 reported that the Governor's motorcade was involved in an accident on the Garden State Parkway near exit 43 at about 6:20 PM. I doubted it at first but they began to have eyewitnesses call in from the scene. It seems the Governor's...

    Solar flares disrupting GPS reception

My satellite radio is has been cutting out a lot lately too. Sirius hasn't issued any statements about it, but I'm sure it's related.

Child is attacked by Coyote in Middletown

According to the article in the paper coyotes have been around in New Jersey since the 1950s. I knew that Fish and Game had re-introduced turkeys, but its not as if they had never been here at all. And vicious? lol

    A clearing in the woods

Beautiful spot! Let's hope it stays that way. Is it pretty far off the beaten path?

Child is attacked by Coyote in Middletown

http://www.nj.com/news/ledger/index.ssf?/base/news-11/1176181820100920.xml&coll=1 Heard about this one on 101.lies this morning. Of course they allow anyone to spread lies, half truths, and misinformation at random. Some hysterical woman called up going on and on about how pratically every...

    Searching and finding Trash!

Here's an interesting question. Let's say I happened upon that very pile of debris. Number one, I would like to keep the pines clean. Number two, I have a large firepit in my backyard and that wood would last a looooooooong time. Number three, with my new F-350 I could actually truck that...

    One good punch, just one!

Like I've told my buddies who always seem to be in the mood to brawl when we go to Devils games... Physical violence just loses its luster once you turn 18. Personal embarrassment, personal injury lawyers, perturbed cops, and unsympathetic municipal court judges are no fun at all.

    Careers

I don't know anything about UTI but I'd carefully research any school before I took the plunge. As Ben said, there are plenty of sheisters out there who will charge you $$$ to teach you something that may or may not be marketable. I would just stop into a high end dealership and ask either the...

    Freeze warning tonight

I just brought in some doormats from outside that I had scrubbed/sprayed off. They were covered in a thin film of ice! Where did April go?

    pheasent sighting

With all the farm raised birds that are released I'm surprised that more haven't made a comeback, but I guess maybe the farm raised birds either aren't as fit for the wild or they just get totally picked off during hunting season. It would be nice to see them become as common as wild turkey have.

    Careers

Ditto. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up! I went to community college for 3 years and studied for about half of those because I had a fast car, a 4x4, (it didn't hurt that "expensive" gas was $1.05 then) and a full time job that paid relatively well for an 18...

    T-Rex Rifle

I didn't which is why I started my post off with this: I can't say I'd want to go after an animal that large without something with considerably more stopping power considering the body mass and speed a lion posseses. Especially one being shot at. Ahhhh...Superlicious, we meet again...
