    Notice

In case anyone is unaware: NJDMV is only testing for emmissions during inspections now. And motorcycles are no longer required to be inspected or to display registration stickers (still has to be registered though). I just hope everyone keeps up with their brake maintenance.

    Raccoons and ruins

I took the motorcycle out in the woods yesterday. It is real dry out there. Alot of the mud holes I usually encounter were pretty dried up. Anyway, I was out near Mannis Duck Pond area and came around a bend to find two young raccoons. Much to my surprise they began to give chase:mrgreen...

Mountains, the Devil, and a snake

I went hiking with my son today in the old pits in Chatsworth. Now FPP. The weather was perfect today. We've visited this general area several times before because the dirt mountains (that are there now) are Heaven for a 3 year old with infinite energy. This mud hole was teaming...

a rare perspective on a familar structure

We've all driven over the friendship bridge about a million times but I suspect few have seen it from this angle. Excuse the quality, I was using my "woods" camera. This is looking at the bridge from upstream. east of the bridge looking west. Could you spot the bridge? It is easier...

    Fishing, again

As many of you know, I am always looking for new fishing areas, particularly remote areas. Today I got my gear and headed out on the motorcycle to visit a long lost bog that has surprisingly eluded me all these years. I knew it was there, as it is very close to one of my favorite holes, but I...

    Remote Water Bodies

This past Saturday I got out to explore a couple remote water bodies I have been interested in. Along the way I stopped at the old dam/canal along the wading. I approached from the west side. This is foot traffic only, you have to hike in. Even though it sees alot of traffic, the...

    Tick

Yep. Discovered it today on my outside thigh. I must have got it yesterday taking a short hike with my son in some woods on my property. I was on a path too. I was hoping the harsh winter would keep the ticks and chiggers down this year. Maybe it was a fluke. Jeff

Got some cool stuff and info

I stopped by Buzbys today since Marilyn was out of stock on my CD and needed some more. We got to talking for a while and she told me she had been saving something for me because she thought I might be interested. She had copies of the Batsto gazette from 1966 to the early ninties that she no...
