I was there today. Yes, you are correct. The dirt fill piles are closer to Stage Road. The wood chip piles are still where they were, but that's further to the northeast, where Dump Rd turns north away from the GSP. Interestingly, I think the wood chip piles aren't actually on state forest...

Sorry, hard to tell from that video. Here are pictures I took last time I was on that road/trail section. This was back in July, though. Perhaps they added more piles there? I'm due back on that section, but with rain tomorrow I might do something else.

That's not fill dirt, though! It's wood chippings from the clear-cutting of the Lake Absegami dam. (Well, it was when I was there in July, and I assume it's still there because they didn't use it yet.) I think they were planning to spread it on some of the soggy spots on the Ballanger Creek...

This was lots of fun. Had a good group of people and Ben was great. My only complaint was a few people who used their flashlights way too much. I've never done this before, and these are straight-out-of-camera shots, so don't be too harsh.
