from ongs hat to apple pie hill

Here you go Al. Also, today I got chigged down by Egg Harbor when I stepped into the woods off of 561 to releive myself. That is all it took. I brushed them all off, as I always wear light and look down at the spot above my knee frequently. That spot just above the knee is tempting to them.

    Can someone ID this?

I gotta be serious here. I think it is the mixture fill for a sign. Dig a hole, insert the sign post, mix some aggregate and concrete together, and tamp it in. It could have been done in the early part of the 20th century. Maybe it was a speed sign. I'm not trying to be funny, it was just my...

A Fine Time For Fine Wine

Chris, I'm studying some plants in Double Trouble State Park. Right where I head into the wetlands from the uplands a guy has a stand. At the exact (convenient) spot that I turn, he has a salt block and one of those feed blocks of corn and some kind of meal. Knowing that, are there any days that...

    The NEW Beer Thread

:p ..."And then there was some other people camped right on the river and they saw him running around their vehicle being chased by a cow." What the hell kind of campgrounds do they run in Australia? I wonder if they have equivalant to our Bud Light over there, because most people don't...

Woodstock With Better Food: Yasgur’s Farm and Food Network’s Bubba-Q Take Them There at Hedger House

I was at that one Johnny. 600,000 people. Drove up through Elmira to get there in a ford panel van with 3 other guys. The road in was clogged for hours and hours. The whole thing was surreal. I only got withing a few hundred yards of the "BACK" of the stage when the Allman Brothers were playing...

Wakeboarding through a sea of cranberries

Excellant production. Liked all of it except the last scene. That was overkill and uneccesary.

    Tree Frog?

PS: I love that word "swale". For me it conjures up nice plant growth, greenery, and wildlife.

    Tree Frog?

But Johnny, you have a swale right behind your house. I'm positive that thing is damp or even wet.

    End of the Summer :(

Speaking of that, I am one of the few people I know who really like sardines. You simply cannot beat the taste. I had a can of King Oscar Meditteranean style yesterday. Great!

    Lots of rain here today

We've had rain here most of the day, but sun wants to peek through. Now yesterday was odd. In the middle of the day Bamber got a 15 minute(?) storm with sun out when everyone else in the state was dry:

    The Shore's Future

Yes, imagine wall-to-wall levitown-like suburbs all the way up to the shore. How nice would the shore be then with all that easy access?

    Lakehurst, home of multiple forges?

Ryan, do you explore? Go for it. Drop down off that road into the briars and pick your way through until you satisfy yourself. It's liberating!
