Ya know, I seem to remember seeing one last Thursday. I was on Springer's Brook, about 100 yards above the confluence with the Batsto. He looked to be about 5 or 6" long. He had a kind of reddish tint, and was very quick. Just a flick of his tail, and he moved upstream several yards in a flash...

Mark, I know it would be a real good story to say it is Chevy because of the hunter's pursuit, but when I visited that with Guy last year I noticed some really heavy iron along the margin, and likely buried in the mud. I'm talkin' about heads, alternator, tire rims, etc. Maybe a '57. Guy...

Tis a far cry from the Atsion Ranger station, but it would be well worth it if a team were to make it out to that pond and spruce it up real nice like during the annual cleanup.

I like cranberry bogs that are working. I would have directed that they be left as bogs, but no pesticides or fertilizers, and of course the public has the freedom to roam. Maybe lease it out like double trouble does.
