    Redfin Pickerel Do Not Exist!!!

Ya know, I seem to remember seeing one last Thursday. I was on Springer's Brook, about 100 yards above the confluence with the Batsto. He looked to be about 5 or 6" long. He had a kind of reddish tint, and was very quick. Just a flick of his tail, and he moved upstream several yards in a flash...

    Linear mounds in Stafford WMA

Mark, I know it would be a real good story to say it is Chevy because of the hunter's pursuit, but when I visited that with Guy last year I noticed some really heavy iron along the margin, and likely buried in the mud. I'm talkin' about heads, alternator, tire rims, etc. Maybe a '57. Guy...

    Linear mounds in Stafford WMA

Tis a far cry from the Atsion Ranger station, but it would be well worth it if a team were to make it out to that pond and spruce it up real nice like during the annual cleanup.

    The right way

Odd that you mentioned where it was yesterday Karl. I crossed it and was thinking of it right about the same time you posted where it was. I took the day off and was exploring the savanna's and river bottoms 1.4 miles above Quaker Bridge on the Batsto and Springer's Brook. I was going to drive...

    Hot Dogs

I like a good hot dog. But, lazy as I am, if I feel adventurous I go for chili and onions. Once in a great while I buy a jar of NY hot dog sauce. Here is a neat slideshow tour of what goes around for a dog in the big apple. Hold the mayo...

    Forest Fires and Survival

I do remember the advice to get onto the already burned ground if you can. But if I was in my truck, and knew the area I'd drive away from the fire. Quckly.:siren:

    Revisiting the Parker Preserve

I like cranberry bogs that are working. I would have directed that they be left as bogs, but no pesticides or fertilizers, and of course the public has the freedom to roam. Maybe lease it out like double trouble does.

From Oyster Creek to Bombing Range Road

Sorry Tom, I answered Al without going further and looking at your post. Yup, you are right. Guy; I see the quality change...very apparent. By the way, the one of me in the water with the chair?....the current was the force that drove me backward. That was the morning after the big storms...
