New Jersey: full of unhappy people?

What difference does it make what the article says? Do you think the writer or editors ever spent any lengthy amount of time in the Pine Barrens? Did they ask people from all over the state, or just people from areas convenient to them? I think that writers for publications like the Wall Street...

A few thoughts on the weather

I don't like to get into the political discussions, but it seems this one is going on forever anyway. I don't know what we should do about climate change , but I understand there are no peer-reviewed(i.e. work checked by other scientists) studies that say global warming is not happening. It...

    He'll be gone soon.

Germany declared war on the United States, not the other way around, on December 11 1941, in support of Japan. Also the Germans torpedoed and sank the destroyer USS Reuben James (DD-245) before Pearl Harbor, with a loss of 100 sailors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Reuben_James_(DD-245)

    Cow Tunnels Under Route 70

Behr, I believe it refers to stone, or oil and stone chips. I can't be sure because it's kind of an archaic term. I don't think they called it that here in NJ.

    He'll be gone soon.

Lorun, the article I read stated the plans were left over from before the Persian Gulf war of 1990.

    Cow Tunnels Under Route 70

Are you certain they're for animals? They look like box culverts, built to allow streams to flow under the road. You can find structures just like that on a lot of roads including urban areas.

    Random Notes-ATV Park

A previous post mentioned 55 gallon drums filled with an unidentified substance. That sounds like industrial waste, not something a homeowner would generate.

    Random Notes-ATV Park

I'm not really familiar with that area or the people who live there. I just think it's unfair to speculate that they are the ones dumping there.

How do you know the people who dumped there are local to that area?

Anyone have any information on Pigeon Swamp State Park in South Brunswick?

I used to live about 5 1/2 miles from there, I drove past it a lot, but never explored it much. It has a lot of nice hardwood trees. It doesn't have a lot of facilities, (small parking lot, no buildings that I can remember), it's been left natural.

Off road is out of bounds for ATVs

The difference with this ordinance seems to be that your vehicle is the target.

Off road is out of bounds for ATVs

The article does not address if it applies to riding with the permisson of the property owner. Could they confiscate your vehicle for riding on your own property?

    Got Stranded

water I meant when the distributor gets wet from water splashed up from a puddle beneath the vehicle. (Or steam like BEHR655 said. Steam is just water in a different state)

    Got Stranded

stalling during/after a puddle In response to Boyd's post, if a vehicle stalls after going through a puddle, sometimes you can get it going again by removing the distributor cap, if it has a distributor, and spraying inside the cap with WD-40, then reinstalling it.
