That was probably the time we had the one occurrence of the problem. It was a few years ago, so that's probably the one.

That's why I'm concerned now, especially looking at the forecast for the next week or so.

I just blocked my foundation vents from the outside last week. I have 4 in one section of the house. One vent is right next to the oil tank.
My crawlspace entry is an adventure in itself. I have a hatch in our walk in closet floor under the carpet and under the clothes racks.

That was the problem with my frozen pipe. Could have saved a couple hundred bucks if I had figured it out myself instead of calling a plumber. The funny thing was that the day it froze was far from the coldest day of that winter so I just assumed something was wrong with the pump. The plumber said it was probably because the wind happened to be blowing just right to come through that vent.

My house has electric baseboard heat, but I use a woodstove for the primary source. The only thing that can freeze there is my ### when I go out to the porch to bring in more wood. :D

Snow forecast doesn't look too bad... yet. Snowblower is gonna remain in storage unless this changes. ;)

Heat wave is coming... 40 degrees next Monday and Tuesday, then it looks like we might be headed back down again.

I hope so, 'cause it's looking like it may be a monster storm.

NWS is saying similar to last weeks leaf blower snow, as long as the storm stays offshore.

The only change I see in the current estimate compared to the image I posted above is Atlantic City went from 3" to 4". Should be interesting... ;)

The more the better, will help to keep the in-ground pipes from freezing when the cold comes later this week.
