It is still burning out there in the Quaker Bridge area. In fact, one area was really smoking but we did not go to it. Anyway, we explored a few dunes and spent a short time in the Parker Preserve before heading home a little earlier today. A short video below.

Near Mt. Misery
Great report Guy. Yeah, the snake fatalities and I’m sure many turtles, is always a sad fact. Not everybody wins in a forest fire though we often emphasize the benefits. Nesting birds are also so vulnerable.
