Jess and I have been busy and have been behind in visiting a few places so today we knocked a few off our list. We visited the Batsto trestle that Old Halfway showed us in a few posts above this one. It is interesting to note that is still burning quite well over a month later. You can see that is my video below.

It would have been impressive to watch this burn.
And this was a surprise. Not right at the bridge but slightly further in the woods, I found this just partially sticking out of the pine needles. I have to assume this may have been used in the construction of the bridge. It is deep in the ground for sure.

Bonus: We visited the Death Camas today and it appears the plant grew again this year but was eaten off or broken off. There was nothing to see this year. However, nearby we found a white orchid that we have never viewed there in all of the years of visiting. And earlier in the morning we also saw this. It was dark in the woods were it is located so without a tripod I had to struggle to get a semi decent photograph.
