He'll be gone soon.

People were blatently lied to. If you have the President and his staff coming on TV, going in front of the UN, and saying "we have concrete proof that Iraq has nuclear technology and intends to use it against us or intends to give it to al-Queda" how else are you supposed to vote?

That is the second time you've said that. Can you furnish us with on piece of factual evidence to support that?

Your not adding anything here Bob. You're just stirring the pot. So I'll give you a chance to tell us how the Dems have aided the war effort. Steve

Hey, you don't get to make the broad statement about the democrats hindering the war effort without some substance to explain it. Don't you think you owe that much to the soldiers serving in the war that are registered Democrats? Are they not members of the Democratic Party?

"We the people........"

Here is the big problem I have with that Steve. I did not vote to go in this war, and I looked on in amazement when Bush pulled out the weapons inspectors and shutdown the extremely successful no fly zones. No, wait, amazement is not a good word; I was dumbfounded that he would commit us to a war that was not connected to the trade center bombings. I felt like the only spectator realizing that a football player was running in the wrong direction. I was helpless to do anything about it, but knew it was wrong as hell. It was plain to see, but my objections could not be heard over the jubilant screams of the rest of the country. Say a word in protest, and you are branded a traitor. Now, the thing is so f....d up that the original architects of the war say Bush screwed up after he got in. Many young, promising american lives lost due to poor execution. That does not bother you at all? Is it all just...rah, rah team, lets win!??

Hey,I was just trying to get you back into the debate instead of just egging it on. I guess you couldn't come up with anything to dispute my statement.
And the thing about Democratic soldiers. Come on, get serious.

Not so Steve my old chap. Here is your statement: "Unfortunately the "course" has been hampered every step of the way by the Democratic party." You first would have to tell me how they "hampered every step" before I can dispute it.

What do you think I'm doing over here in Bamber...sleeping?

I'm sorry Bob, had I known I would have called George and let him know that you did not vote for it. :D It's "We the people" Bob. We are a nation. "United we stand, divided we fall". You can't be right all the time and I can't be right all the time but together we have a better chance of being right.

I was dumbfounded that he would commit us to a war that was not connected to the trade center bombings.

It is my opinion that you are not seeing the bigger picture. 9/11 was not the start of this situation. It was just another attack in an ongoing conflict.

Say a word in protest, and you are branded a traitor.

Funny. Say a word in support and you are branded an idiot.

Many young, promising american lives lost due to poor execution. That does not bother you at all?

The lose of life on either side is saddening and it does bother me. It does not change my belief that we are doing the right thing.

Is it all just...rah, rah team, lets win!??

Sorry Bob but yes. I believe in supporting the troops. It's what they want.

No Ben, there is nothing there. I do not dispute that those things were said. I just ask for proof or factual evidence that they were blatant lies. Show me the proof that they knew there were no wmd's in Iraq before we went to war.

Yes Bob I think you are sleeping. I did not ask you to debate or dispute it. I challenged you to tell us how the Dems have aided in the war effort. I challenged you because all you had been doing was egging on the debates with on-liners.
When you comply I will counter. (if you're wrong....and you probably will be:D)

Call it what you will, there can be no dispute that this administration used deceptive tactics in presenting their case for war. They ignored all conflicting intelligence and blew what little supporting facts they had waaayyyy out of proportion in order to scare us stupid. An honest argument, on the other hand, would have accounted for the conflicting intelligence and would have been presented in a sober and humble light.

You know what, we should have had proof before we went to war.
