No idea. A wild guess of Bear Swamp Hill. Maybe the FRM?

Funny thing, when I looked at the last picture I swear I could smell the pine mixed with the cool air.

That is Bear Swamp Hill. You can see that the trees are burned and chopped. It had to be where the plane went down. It is only 17 months after the accident.

That was why I made that guess. The problem I had is it seemed too high but without the trees it shows the true height.

It says Old Halfway on the slides, but I call it the Clay Pits, and that would be the third lake?

Guy, do you remember the first time you saw an aerial photo service online? When I first saw TerraServer I was stunned. I thought it was illegal or something. I felt so privileged to be able to look at it.

PS: I have a slightly higher resolution, and I'm pretty sure that is a person floating on an air mattress in that photo.

Back in the late 60's when there was no internet some of us Burlington County teenagers had girls on our minds and never consulted a topo map, or even cared to. So, when we partied at the first or second lake, those who had been at the third would like to announce (proudly, because they'd been there) that there was a third lake. But none of us in the crowd at the time--and slightly inebriated on one vice or another--had the inclination to get up and stumble through the dark woods looking for it. So, it remained a fable until we saw it for ourselves.
