They have started here. They should really be hitting me in about 10 minutes.

Yes, unfortunately I was following it down the turnpike. Which brings up the question, why do people put on their hazzard flashers in heavy rain?

The idea is that you may have to drive well below the speed limit in heavy rain, and there may be limited visibility. The flashers alert a car approaching from the rear that you're going slower than normal. At least, that's what they told me when I had driving lessons about a hundred years ago. ;)

We are getting very little rain here tonight also.

Seems its actually illegal in NJ to drive with your hazzards on. (EDIT- seen listed both ways so IDK)
I thought it made them harder to distinguish from the stopped cars on the sides of the road with flashers on.
Mostly found it irritating for the same reason as esurance
Most people expect to see hazards when there is a specific danger to look out for.
Everyone was already well aware it was raining...
Sorry, Rant off  was a long drive!

We are up to whopping 0.42" since yesterday morning - not exactly the soaking we needed. Forecast is calling for another 0.5-0.75 tonight, hopefully we get more.

Looks like about an inch and half here… I'll take it! Didn't get much yesterday but some pounding rain woke me up around 2:30 AM, looked at the radar and it was the first of three narrow bands coming through here. So I suspect the majority of my rain came in the early morning hours today.

Bald Eagle Reservoir at Parker is really drying up. No water going in or out for quite awhile.
