This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Delaware, northern
Delaware, southern Delaware, northeast Maryland, central New
Jersey, northern New Jersey, northwest New Jersey, southern New
Jersey, east central Pennsylvania and southeast Pennsylvania.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Another soaking rain event is expected Thursday night and Friday.
Given recent wet conditions across the area and potential for
locally heavy rain with this upcoming storm system, instances of
urban, small stream, and river flooding may occur.

I think the estimated amount of rain will increase. It looks like a train of rain is on its way.

Those rainfall totals are derived from radar imagery, so they may not be entirely accurate. Using my trusty old wheelbarrow "rain gage", I had about two inches, maybe a bit more. That would corrrespond with the yellow band in the image above, however I am located a number of miles away from that area.
Yeah, it's wet out there. My uplands never dried out from the previous rain and the flooded areas have gotten larger and deeper. My lowlands are completely flooded with the creek over its banks. Driving around yesterday, I saw quite a few homes with "lakes" in their yards. But it looks like they have lowered the rain totals in tomorrow's forecast now.

Very light snow shower here. The water table in some area's is definitely higher. My sisters basement has never had water, their sump pump has not stopped since before Christmas.

You can view current and historical data here. This image shows the past 30 days. My home is in the heaviest area! But I have seen at least two other extended periods with worse flooding since I moved to Atlantic County in 2006, so I don't think this is a record (yet).

Thanks Boyd. Using the standard baseline of inches of rain x 10= inches of snow, we would have had 60-80" of the white stuff. That baseline is good for a temp of 28-34f. 20-28f changes the snow base to 15, and as follows;
15-19f change to 20
10-14 to 30
0-9 to 40
Don't think we have to be concerned about lower temps until global cooling kicks in.

Doesn't look like there is much white stuff in the immediate future. The NWS forecast for the next week shows temperatures above freezing, even at night.

That's fine with me. Minimal heating required and no shovelling.
Here are a few different ways to look at last year. For a quick summary... most of the pines got 60 to 70 inches of precipitation with a few areas as high as 80 inches. That is more than 20 inches above normal for most of the pines, although some areas were only 16 inches. That works out to 125% to 200% more than normal, depending on location.
