Guy, when did you take that picture? I walked the rails from Carranza to Chatsworth in the late 90's and don't remember seeing that.
I bowed that rail last year. I saw the edge of a 1933 double eagle gold piece stuck under the rail. I guess I don't know my own strength sometimes.

That would be just south of Pine Crest. Those doors were from a box car that derailed there a long time ago. I don't think the bent rails are associated with the derailment because I don't remember seeing them in the 90's and that track was in use up to 1978. Guy will maybe confirm this.
