You must have been checking out Tarkiln Bogs. I guessed at Belleplain because I used to live there and knew you have been hanging around in cape may County lately. Have you checked out the gorgeous Barrens live old Cranberry bog on West Creek yet? There are several nice old bogs in the Belleplain area.
I was doing some searches south of Tarkiln about 10 years ago. Lately I've been in some remote pond areas and under powerlines. I'm sure you've been there with Gerry.

Well yeah, the entire state is under extreme fire watch due to zero rain in many, many days.

Oh my - especially the Pine Barrens! I didn't know they ever man fire towers any more. I don't recall seeing one manned since the late 1960's when I climbed up to talk to a fire ranger in the Catskill mountains. He told me he majored in forestry in college and one of my ancestors was a forester in Europe, so I decided to major in forestry, but that's as far as that went. The Pine Barrens used to catch fire pretty regularly and I saw myself how amazingly quickly the forest rejuvenated. That must be why the Plains were so much lower back in my days down there, as you can see in my avatar picture which was taken over 50 years ago.

Actually I was probably there before I met him,I lived there back in the mid eighties and again in the early 90's and used my time there to thoroughly learn thos woods which were new to me till I met my ex wife who is from there. Then Guy and I did a bit of stone searching there in the early 2000's as well. I Must say to me it seems the Belleplain area is the briar and chigger capital of the Barrens but they do have some nice cedar swamps and some very pretty old planted white pine groves in the area.

This one? Heres a clue. There are 2 streams that each empty their own water body to go under the hard road (said road only 140 feet from the the water bodies). The streams, as they go under the road separately, are about 1,500 feet apart. They join together about 1,800 feet SE of the road.

Okay, nobody got the above (and post 2285) despite numerous clues. If I don't see an answer by 8 PM, I'll reveal it. I really thought someone would get it right away with this clue in post 2,308: "It is said she was the last of her breed living in the county".

I thought about it some more and then I had an a-ha moment.

Here, yes?

Good show! What was your ah-ha moment?

Your clue put me in old Brotherton, but then I was second guessing myself because I knew it wasn't the large spillway at Indian Mills Lake. Stepped away and thought about it a bit longer and then I realized: duh, it is the spillway at the other body of water, the mill pond.

Where is this? "I deal in cigarettes son, big fat ones. I collect them and lay them out to dry".

Well, yeah! How'd you do that, just zoom out from Indian Mills?

Ps: May I take this moment to bad mouth the Atl City Expressway. It is run like it was plopped down into a third world country. I rarely used it, but everytime I do I find it disgusting. I went 9 miles the other day and paid $4.40 for my ride.

I got EZ-pass and used the ACE when I commuted to Center City Philadelphia, but less and less as time went by. The back roads are slower but more enjoyable. Since I retired in 2011, have hardly ever used it. During the pandemic, they sent me a notice they were going to revoke my EZPass for lack of use. I went one exit on the ACE to fix that. Only thing I use EZPass for now is a few trips to my daughter's in NYC.

This is on the margin of the pines, sort of. Oak/pitch pine/laurel, etc. Typical for much of the land in the pines. This is two photos of the same wall looking both directions, and I mashed them together. In my area. Maybe someone from my area can nail it down. Wall is about 12 to 16 feet tall.
