    Military Fox Hole

Yes, aggregate is the word I was looking for but escaped me. Sand and gravel are the only things I can think of someone looking for in a paleo dune. Whether to use nearby or possibly prospecting , that would explain the small test holes to the east too. The funny part is I’d bet that location...

    Military Fox Hole

I’ve been playing with the 3-D LiDAR too. I’ve seen a few spots where the top of small hills were dug out. I’ve been thinking they were digging out pebbles to possibly make concrete. That one seems a bit remote but maybe it was for nearby cranberry bogs. Slightly east of that spot there’s a few...

    Hampton upper forge?

Yes I kind of figured that was what it likely was. It’s a pretty substantial piece.

    Hampton upper forge?

On a different note. It may have been discussed before. At the upper pond there’s a structure under the bridge. Does anyone know what it was.

Property Stones And More... Fall 2022/ Winter Spring 2023

I considered that board more of a beam lol. There is more wood downstream from there too. I figured that was washed away. We were trying to figure out what that structure could have been since it seems to block the flow of the canal.

    Where is this?

I should have guessed. I saw all that deadfall and figured it was from a relatively recent fire. That whole area has a lot of dead fall.

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

That’s my point exactly. Sell permits and as long as they stay on the roads there’s nothing that will be done. Roads can be torn up just get a permit and your good to go. I only watched the first part of that video. He stayed on the road. No violation there in the eyes of the law. A permit will...

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

So. A permit system would solve it? I don’t think so. It would just make it legal. A pay to play system would encourage outsiders to go to Wharton instead of going to Lacey where they are cracking down. Look at how much money the state could make from that event alone. A permit system is...

    Farmer’s Defense Sleeves

That’s my biggest hesitation too. I get hot in a long sleeve if the temp is higher then 60.

    Farmer’s Defense Sleeves

Has anyone tried these to help protect their arms from scratches? I doubt they will do much against briars but may help slightly. Maybe more pokes then scratches. In the FAQ’s they say that they were not designed for protection from thorns but some people said they worked well. Im thinking about...

    Track

Going by that picture I’d say coyote. Do the tracks go basically in a straight line? Domestic dogs usually “bounce” all over checking everything. Coyotes cover a lot of ground and usually are in straight lines like they are on a mission and don’t do so many circles.

    Theater?

I once failed there because I had a small nail in my tire. Got home and pulled it out. It was so short it never made it past the treads.
