    Lidar Reveals

I did think of it, but then thought Lidar should not have picked it up if so.

    Lidar Reveals

This is odd. Lidar on left, 1980 on right. Inexplicable. Easy to get to just north of 72. Maybe they just left piles of sand or scraped around small areas to leave some trees?

Wet Forest - Formerly Known as Dry Forest

I went to Middle Township yesterday. As I'm going down the parkway south, I notice during gaps in the woods, that the meadows on the east side of the parkway are swamped. Underwater. I suppose this was the large tide (or the second) they were speaking of. On my way back north, all those meadows...

    More Exploring In Bass River

Here I also repost my post from that thread. I still stand by it. By Pines in general, I mean a simple visit through even senstive areas while on an explore or survey. I don't mean repeated visits showing people flowers. It's the main reason I've yet to lead a botany trip via the Philadelphia...

    Fries Mill

I used to do stuff like that. My buddy Don who passed away a few years ago, would gather all his cooking gear and his eggs and sausage and a folding table out to the remote woods behind Browns Mills. Just for a sunday morning breakfast. Then he'd pack it up and go home. Very cool.

    Fries Mill

What of this in the last photo. If that is a vine, it's super straight. If it's a vine, the tension it has to be under is enormous.

    Where is this?

Well, it is on the property of those who schedule and perform that task. I'm not upset about it being there when you consider it could be the fancy of a girl or woman who enjoys it. It's right next to the road.

    More Exploring In Bass River

That is pretty brazen Lj, telling Guy to stick to the trail. You knew that was going to rub Guy the wrong way when you posted it. What gives?

    Ticks & Chiggers--a study

I don't think I'll risk it in the near term, and even in the long term, I'd still use all the current precautions, because once that feeding tube penetrates, that is the start of grief for me. I doubt their death would mean I would not itch for 7 to 10 days.

    Where is this?

Where might this idyllic scene be, among the cedars and adjacent creek?

    Music for the day

Karl Wallinger of World Party passed away 2 days ago. When he was in the states around 2009(?) or so, I went to see him twice.

PS: that is a much better color. Partly my fault, I have a cataract in the right eye making my vision cloudy. Will get surgery next november.

    Incoming: Big boydsmaps update

I'm curious Boyd. How many people use your map site? It has to be a lot. I turned on one of the guys from Ocean County Parks, and he was like "wow!".
