DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

That’s my point exactly. Sell permits and as long as they stay on the roads there’s nothing that will be done. Roads can be torn up just get a permit and your good to go. I only watched the first part of that video. He stayed on the road. No violation there in the eyes of the law. A permit will...

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

So. A permit system would solve it? I don’t think so. It would just make it legal. A pay to play system would encourage outsiders to go to Wharton instead of going to Lacey where they are cracking down. Look at how much money the state could make from that event alone. A permit system is...

Happy New Year! And congrats on the 10 years. To say I appreciate your maps is a massive understatement. With each revision I appreciate them even more too. Thanks for all you do.

    Farmer’s Defense Sleeves

That’s my biggest hesitation too. I get hot in a long sleeve if the temp is higher then 60.

In the FAQ’s they say that they were not designed for protection from thorns but some people said they worked well. Im thinking about...

    Track

Going by that picture I’d say coyote. Do the tracks go basically in a straight line? Domestic dogs usually “bounce” all over checking everything. Coyotes cover a lot of ground and usually are in straight lines like they are on a mission and don’t do so many circles.

It’s funny you say that about the corn. Last time I was in that area there was whole cobs scattered around.

    Theater?

I once failed there because I had a small nail in my tire. Got home and pulled it out. It was so short it never made it past the treads.

There are programs available to harvest fire wood from public land. I’ve done it a few times over the years. https://www.atlantic-county.org/parks/firewood-program.asp

    Round Abouts

Thanks I did not know that. It’s been a little bit of a rough week. I had to take Stacia to the hospital Tuesday. She wound up getting 2 blood transfusions. She came home late Thanksgiving so we did the dinner yesterday. And yes Rachel is usually is upbeat and outgoing. Unless she is hungry lol.

I wonder how may trees would die if a fire rolled through the same 1300 acres.
