DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

Yeah, pretty much anything goes there now. They let it get out of control. My neighbor used to take my family there in the late 1980's. Looked nothing like it does in the above photo. There was often hundreds of yards between us and someone else. His under carriage was destroyed by the salt.

    Spotting scope for wildlife

Dirt nap, good one. The term in the bible, which I like, is: he sleeps with his fathers.

Environmentalists seek to rein in ATVs amidst fears of damage to Gravelly Run

Clearly unacceptable. Let the chips fall where they may.

    Spotting scope for wildlife

Reminds me; when I did a plant survey last summer, I was looking for a sedge that is hard to see, especially amongst grasses and other sedges. So, knowing I would only be 5 to 8 feet away, I looked for and bought this one below. It does work well, but as the survey progressed, it became apparent...

Looking For A Vehicle And Exploring In Lebanon

That heart rate is about the same as I get on a treadmill. What really tells the story is your recovery when you stop. It should be down to about 115 or better within about a minute after stopping if you ended at 135.

    Military Fox Hole

That's been brought up before. It's along the Factory Branch. Some kind of loop up a high spot and back out again. I've been there before.

    Military Fox Hole

Well, to be honest, when I switch to the Discovery channel, if it's Oak Island or Aliens, I disgustedly switch the channel (quickly, as it's embarrasing to be caught watching that). I was speaking of a meteorite.

    Military Fox Hole

I was thinking of something when I saw that. Legend goes (and I think it's true), one went down in the Forked River Mountain area in, like, 1920 or so. They saw it from Bamber, and they had to walk out there to see it.

I think you are trying to throw the rest of us off the scent while you get out there first and steal all the meteorite debris. It goes for a handsome price on some nefarious markets.

    Military Fox Hole

To add fuel to the fire, maybe by the time the meteorite hit, it was in the shape of a donut, with the center burned away. Just having fun here (I think). Who says it can't be both?

    Military Fox Hole

Thanks Guy. Looks suspicious to me, like it's foreign (maybe better said; alien).

    Military Fox Hole

Guy, do you have a closeup of this? My first thought was slag, but how?

Would be interesting if it were a meteroite that did that, right...

You did not go down to the stream where Gabe pointed out the stream may have been filled with the dirt for easier crossing?

I have to wonder; why did they leave a mound in the center? Odd.
