I'm using Firefox on my Mac. I used the link you posted, which redirects to: https://njdep.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=3a27819e5c724c8b97a3c9dd43fd3d9a Try taking your phone off wifi and connecting using cellular data. I wonder if you have a DNS problem.

It's working for me but takes a long time to render. Also if you zoom in too far it changes from topo view to satellite, which is less useful. (To me at least)

Not that I necessarily think that the state or whoever would do it, but if there was an app you had to install on your phone I know that a lot of people would be super concerned that they'd be spied on and have where they go tracked. So if they ever develop an app that has the map and allows you...

Welcome back! I don't think that there's a single person here who would argue against your statement.

The MAP pushers settled for nothing less than the MAP as designed by the PPA for Rob. I believe (and I could be wrong) the state said that whatever official map that gets made would take the 97 USGS maps as a starting point.

    Yet Another Wildfire

Henry Charlton Beck ran across an artist, Ned Knox, that rode a bicycle through the Pine Barrens looking for subjects to paint. I have no idea how he made it through sugar sand though.

Trying to save the forest from harm is a great thing. I've met Russ and I think he's a good person. I'm sure Jason is too. The problem is the way that they go about doing it and their absolute steadfast unwillingness to find a compromise where everyone gets a little of something that they want.

There's a new Facebook group that's also run by Russ and Jason called NJ Parks and Forests. I joined, but when I saw Jason posting I unfollowed (but did not leave) because I just don't need that stress in my life anymore.

I have AT&T and I had mostly no service out in Rockwood yesterday. Every now and then my phone (iPhone 11) would register one bar and I'd get a notification of something but essentially it was a brick.

    Rockwood

I got down into Rockwood and it was just amazing to see how extensively burnt things were. It was also crazy to see trees that only ended up being burnt on one side. Out of the photos I took yesterday this is the one that I like the most.

Crews Battling Wildfire Along Mullica River in South Jersey’s Wharton State Forest

Well, it's no Jeep but it got me down Rockwood Rd. past the houses and far enough where the really burnt places were only a short hike away. :D I had to make a 47 point turn to get out since I would have gotten stuck if I went down any further. It was so nice to get out in the woods, especially...

Google says that I have 5 inches of ground clearance, which seems higher than what it actually looks like. I really miss my old 1990 Cherokee.

Yeah. It'll do Speedwell-Friendship Rd but that's as much as I ask of it. For some reason I thought Rockwell Rd. was paved at least partially. Google Maps doesn't seem to back that up.

I wonder how far down I could reasonably get my little BMW down without getting stuck or causing problems.

People ought to be more careful with such powerful and effective solutions such as these.

Crews Battling Wildfire Along Mullica River in South Jersey’s Wharton State Forest

Back when the original MAP was being discussed they could have closed every road in Wharton and it wouldn't have really affected me. At the time, I drove a 2013 Ford Taurus, which kept me pretty much out of the woods in and of itself. However I fought really, really hard against it because it...
