"Japineys" That is great!!! I met a taiwanese guy near the great swamp once. He was in a minivan (I was on a motorcycle) and I was concerned he wasn't going to make it out of the woods so escorted him to 206. He just moved to the states and had very broken english. He wanted to get a...

    Kayaker/Canoe ers

I've used the liveries with my own stuff when I am going out with a group that is renting. It works out fine and is fairly cheap. If I am going out alone or with others who own I never use the liveries but use two trucks or paddle back to where we started from. Here is a trick I've done...

    April at Friendship Bogs

Nice report Guy. That is an area I frequent often. I will have to think about it, but I recall seeing some ruins in there. I will have to think about this for awhile. BTW, if anyone comes across my favorite Old Timer Sharde I lost back there about six or seven years ago...let me know...

    Jersey Devil

I watched that. It was pretty bad but I felt obligated to watch since the Jersey Devil was in it. The Devil had a pretty good likeness to our traditional folklore but suffered from terrible digital animation. The whole carney idea must have stemmed from Norman Jeffries in 1909 or there...

Kayaking the Upper Great Egg Harbor River

Good luck on the trip. I've done from Penny pot on down but not the upper section. Al, Gabe and I did the sleeper from the rockwood bogs almost to Wescoat without too many obsticles and it was a blast. Have fun. Jeff

    Dig?!

Yes, I cross that intersection often. I hadn't noticed them working there before, but if they are not there all the time then that makes sense. I saw them on the weekend and I mostly go through that intersection on weekdays and later in the day. Jeff

    Dig?!

I noticed what appeared to be an archaeological dig going on here: http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.82383105492446&lng=-74.75870132446289&z=16&type=topo&gpx= At the NW corner of Oak shade and Tuckerton. There were two guys with a sifter (spelling). I didn't stop to ask but I recall...
