    Stavola Beechwoods Preserve - Pemberton

So I did this one on Thursday, right after I did the Pemberton Rail Trail, the south branch of which actually cuts through this preserve. My GPS crapped out, but it was probably about 1.6 miles of hiking. Caught the sunset at the end, which made for some pretty reflections on the North Branch...

    Pemberton Rail Trail

Did this trail yesterday in the rain, good times! It's 1.6 miles one way from the old Pemberton Train Station on Hanover Ave through to Birmingham Ave. It's an odd trail through, in that it makes a "Y". The south branch of the Y starts at the Stavola Beechwoods Preserve behind Clark's Canoes...

Two days to complete the Batona Trail = terrible idea!

So last month, two of my friends and I were dragged along by two of my Boy Scouts to attempt to do the Batona Trail in two days. This was not the brightest idea that anyone ever had. But I did get some pretty pictures! This one might be my favorite pine barrens picture I've ever gotten...

    Mount Misery

The Jersey Devil lives in that house. The Methodists are just there to keep him from claiming too many victims.

    Airships and Lakehurst N.A.S.

Really neat picture. The Lakehurst Naval Air Station museum sells little scraps of the Los Angeles as a fundraiser for like $60 or so. It would almost be worth the nights I'd have to spend on the couch. :D

    Chairville

So a buddy and I took the older kid and went to check out Chairville today. I can't believe how many times I've driven past this place. Going into the cemetery, the graves are mostly in two large clumps, with a few scattered along the edges (some oddly close to the edges - why were these...

Teegate ~ I'm pretty sure that the first rule of cemeteries is NOT to dig in them. I'm going to try to get out there this week, I'll look for the high spots and see if I can take a walk around :) Thank you for sharing the pictures! Jerseyman ~ Thank you! This is far more than I...
