Well, that's why I ask since I know nothing. :) I appreciate the help.

    Snake Identification

Tonight I was out for a stroll and almost stepped on this little fellow. He was about 18 inches long. I am curious to know what kind of snake this is.

South Jersey: What are its boundaries?

I grew up in Cape May. We didn't include much outside of Cape May County as South Jersey. Some people included Atlantic City. :) I now use I-195. If one "extends" the road to the coast, that seems to be an acceptable dividing line. Perfect? No.

    Abandoned racetracks.

There's another track in Vineland. Not nearly the size of Atco, but it is abandoned. It is fun to take a lap every now and then.

looking for joe mulliner's grave stone

The new stone does state it is someone's property. I agree that it is uncomfortable going here with the neighbors so close.

    Wagon Trail

I am seeking an old wagon trail. Sounds easy enough, I know. But I have a particular requirement: there needs to be a sign or map posted that indicates it was a wagon trail. I know King's Highway was a wagon trail. Does anyone know if there is a marker indicating such? If so, where? I...

    Calico-Warren Grove

When I look at Google Maps, I see a lot of roads named Department of Defense south of Calico-Warren Grove Road. Is the following area open to the public? http://maps.google.com/maps?q=39.70784,-74.42994 It seems to me that at a certain point, Andrews Road perhaps, the area is off limits...

    Stokes Road Question

There's one puddle on Stokes that is legendary. Knowing I couldn't go through it on Easter 2003, I turned around . . . and promptly got stuck. A friend of mine apparently got stuck in that puddle later in the day. Mind you, I do not drive any of the big time trucks that some do. I suppose...

    Millville Holly Orchard

This is the same planning board that has gotten the elected state officials to hammer through a law that will set up a slush fund for the out-of-state developer of the racetrack by taxing its customers. And here we thought our taxes went for government services . . .

Anyone have any information on Pigeon Swamp State Park in South Brunswick?

If I recall correctly, GPS reception is poor in this area. I was there about three years ago for a short period of time.

    Got Stranded

Wow! What an ordeal. I have been pulled out a few times. The kindness of others (strangers) is one of the things that has most impressed me about my exploring. It is good to hear all worked out in the end.

    Today's date

A few years ago I had gone through a nest (or several). My legs were a mess for more than a month. The itching was very bad.

Jemima Mount's elevation is 101 feet. I do not know the elevation above the trail, but it is something less than 101. :)

    Corzine won't veto Pinelands project

Matt Bai had a wonderful piece for The New York Times Magazine last summer that detailed pushing Corzine out the door at Goldman Sachs. This occurred right after he took the company public. At the time, Corzine was co-CEO.

    Corzine won't veto Pinelands project

Just for the sake of accuracy, he did not give up being a CEO, rather he was forced out.

    Letter to Jon Corzine

It doesn't matter in Millville. The city government contracted with Comcast for a 15 year exclusive contract. No other company can offer cable in the city. And on top of that, the city has Comcast charge a two percent tax/fee which is kicked back to the city. Couple that with special...
