    Coyotes today

Aw, shucks, you guys! :) Thanks for such a nice reception. Michigan is actually gorgeous and wide open, lots of places to wander. But none of them quite like the pines. We have flown the kites a lot since then, and have since started using the GoPro, which only takes wide angle shots. I love...

    Coyotes today

Oh, I BEG your pardon. I know the rules but heard a rumor that the forum members could be bribed with beer. Is there any truth to that?

    Critters unleashed in NJ

The weevil thing makes me incredibly uncomfortable. This seems like such a bad idea for a lot of reasons. Has anyone heard anything about them?

Oh, sorry, missed that. Poor dude.

Poor Coyote Dental Health and Geese

They do store fat differently, in a dog in good flesh, they'll have fat on their butt, behind the elbows and in the abdomen. If he was in generally good flesh without noticeable skinniness in the ribs, it may very well have been trauma. His head turned back like that makes me think he was hit by...

Poor Coyote Dental Health and Geese

What makes you say the coyote has gum disease? His teeth are not perfect (he sure could use some braces!) but his gums actually look remarkably good. There is little to no tartar on the teeth and there is no redness or exudate from the gums around the teeth. Despite some being missing, his...

    Crosshairs

This extremely chilling video that Loughner made freaks me out so very much. Can you people of NJPB guess why? It's kind of familiar, actually.

    Facebook Too Big?

I held out for quite a while before joining. I am not exactly addicted, but I do check every day. It's really really nice to be able to keep tabs on everyone without having to take the time to actually interact with them. That sounds kinda messed up. But I feel more in touch with my family than...

    Deer Vertebrae?

Looks like an epistropheus, (the second neck bone), the one that the head pivots on. Axis bone. Cool! And hopefully from a deer and not a person.

    Feral Dogs

As someone who has had sheep, I can tell you that people often let their pet dogs wander by night, and what you see as a feral dog is more likely to be someone's pet. Their behavior can belie their living situation.

    Exercise equipment

Ahhhh! For crying out loud! We've been talking about getting a band resistance station AND a Nordic track this winter. Alas, we now live 800 miles away. Why couldn't you post this 6 months ago!? :argh:

I don't doubt it at all. I've seen it with my own two eyes.

    Beautiful

Well, whatddaya know. There's no inspections here in MI, I found it hard to believe. There are cars on the road with duct tape holding them together, and now I know why. Big costcutting measure, I guess?

    Bug ID

WOW! That's one of the most fantastic bugs I've ever seen. (you did take that in the pines, right?) About how long is it? I have to know what that is.

    sharkbite summer

I worry that all of this press about sharks in the swimming zone will cause people to kill them. They aren't hurting anyone.
