My driveway and steps were froze solid last evening at 7PM when I went out to check. My daughter went out early this morning and just wrote me saying the same. She had to walk in the snow to get to her car. She said nothing about the roads so I assume the route to her work has been salted.
No idea what the roads are like here yet, But porch thermometer is still holding steady at 34. No ice on my car or my deck and NWS says 35 degrees at AC International Airport. Was just looking at the forecast.... 57 degrees on Friday.
Left home at 7:45 and went to Rt 42 in Turnersville this morning. Some icy spots but not much of a problem. Didn't see any accidents, traffic was very light so I guess people were staying home. The fog was very dense for the first 15 miles or so from my house though, that was a bigger problem than the ice.
That's a great story. Similar to what I've been ranting about to anyone that listens. Reminds me of Andy Rooney. Oh by the way did I ever rant about............
I don't know who to agree with more, 46er's Andy Rooney quote or manumuskin. I know there are always exceptions but in general the pains and diminishing mobility seem to be a common dominator with age.
