    South Jersey Magazine

They deliver that to my house in Tabernacle. It's free. I bet they stock it around town. Probably Nixons.

    Self Tuning Guitar

It is not that new. A company called transperformance has been making it for at least 10 years as an aftermarket part for guitars. Jimmy Page has been trying to get Gibson to put it on their production models since he endorses it and uses it (for using alternate tunnings without switching...

    I'm afraid this might be...

That deer and that hunter were made for each other:rofl: I don't think it is typical though, at least I hope not.

    Dutchtown Freestyle, a PBX Hike.

Another great hike in one of my favorite places. The great swamp has always been a tremendous attraction for me. I remember once hiking in from the wescoat bogs, across the sleeper and heading south. I stopped along the boarder of a cedar "island" within a long savannah and just felt such a...

Ong's Hat to Forked River Mts

Bob, do you recall this pit from the 70's. I know you were back there but I can't recall if you told me if it was full of trash then?

    A few questions

I didn't realize it was an old campground, that is interesting! If you take the loop expect to find a lot of dumpings in there, mostly cut trees. It is a good spot to find some firewood. I never noticed any old fire pits in there, but I wasn't looking for them. Jeff

Ong's Hat to Forked River Mts

Nice report. As Ben stated, Mary Ann Forge was a little north of where you were. However I just wanted to add that the pit that Ben is referring to (as stated on the topo maps) IS where you were. It is an old dump site probably the result of illegal residential and small business dumping than...

Welcome to the fall color show! Part 1 - Rockefeller State Park

Great photos! Definitely late fall colors this year but I would be hesitant to blame it entirely on global warming. I've noticed the swamp maples are particularly nice with deep red hues right now. Jeff

Quaker to Batsto September Trip Report

Ah yes, the four foot, three foot long snake. A rarity in the pinebarrens. Considering this was late September I'm not surprised with the warm weather we were having then. It was most likely a common watersnake, of considerable size apparently. I think 12' deep is highly likely...

    The call of the wild

I have one of those cameras also. I've used it on a number of locations in some very remote areas and have been surprised by how little I have caught on film (well, it is digital but you know what I mean). I am going to try putting it out again.

    Tidbits

Wow. That is alot of interesting info all in one shot! Thanks for sharing this. Isn't it amazing that Hampton furnace structures survived for all those years, and all it took was one (arson?) fire to take it out. What a shame that people feel the need to burn and spray paint and shoot at...

    Chatsworth in the news

Small towns only remain charming small towns while they are small. A bunch of people moving in and it will be another Medford. This sort of advertising is hurting the pine barrens culture.

    Thanks To Guy

I think you are looking at the infamous Ace Campground. I had the opportunity to visit it before the vandalism and it was pretty cool.
