Thanks Boyd.If it keeps moving at this speed the eye will be over me at 730 but it is moving at 300 degrees and I am at 312 degrees from the eye so it is headed to cross the cape may peninsula and bang right back over the delaware Bay which will do nothing at all to kill it,it may get a second wind.If it comes right at me the land may kill it a little. As you say though it really doesn't matter,we're all in for a butt kickin

okay the update just rolled in.It is 25 mi from landfall(the eye) and headed straight for Wildwood. If it continues at this speed and track it will hit Wildwood at 6pm and continue over it into delaware Bay passing about 15 mi south of my house.getting dark and a little scary here but this definitely isn't the killer storm i imagined.perhaps the worst is yet to come?

Thanks Al for the response, I gotta go check out some topos. Some of the photos I saw from the shore look pretty bad and others not so much, its kind of calm where I'm at right now.

On Fox they just said it has definitely made landfall but they are waiting for confirmation of the exact spot. I am right on the very edge of the "cone of uncertainty" but looks like you're inside it Al. Rain has also stopped here. A little while ago they said 88mph winds were recorded at Tuckerton. Looking at the radar, it appears that rain has stopped all over South Jersey.

i waited two hours for the coords to update, they did a few minutes ago.Their new coords put the eye exactly north and off the coast of AC.They are saying the hurricane stopped dead and hooked a right turn and went fifty miles north.I think someone in back of this site is geographically challenged.new coords 39.1 and 74.4

Any updates from Old Crazy?

I'm safe & sound 45 miles inland. The fire department picked up about 50 people at dead low tide this afternoon, myself included, and took us off the island. At dead low tide the water in Sea Isle City was knee deep to waist deep. I don't even want to fathom how high the water is going to be at high tide tonight. With this morning's high tide I lost everything in my crawl space, my washer/dryer, heating units and air conditioning units. Most of the other people who were ferried off the island lost their cars and had to be taken to a shelter. Thank God I got my truck offshore on Saturday and was able to drive to a relatives house. For me, going to a shelter would be like going to prison.

AC is one town i would not miss.

I have no use for AC, I avoid it at all costs. Just last month I served on a jury for a drug dealer's case in Atlantic County Superior Court. What a hell-hole that place is, "Camden with a beach". However... I hate to see that kind of devastation anywhere.

Watching Christie right now and he was very critical of the mayor of Atlantic City because he told people they could stay and shelter in place. Christie had already ordered an evacuation and had busses waiting but people didn't take advantage of them because of what the mayor said. He said anyone who is still there will have to spend the night at this point because it's too dangerous for first responders to go in at the moment.
