yes this thing is of course circulating counterclockwise and we will now be hit by the eastern edge of it so it should come straight from the south and since you are east of me Boyd you should get nailed first,if it makes you feel better I'll get nailed last:)

Calm at the moment, but after I looked at that base velocity loop I decided it was a good idea to take my shower now while the power is still working. :) Sirens are wailing in the distance here now, sounds like they may be coming from the firehouse in Dorothy. I wonder what is happening?

Lost power in Hamilton Mercer County about 3:00 PM and still out and on a generator.
For the past few hours fairly steady flashes in the sky of downed lines and tranformers I would assume.
For kicks called PSEG and their automated estimated time of restoration....Monday Nov 5th! Now Iwould typically doubt that but only morning will tell the story. Worst winds here in the past half hour. Lots of visible siding and roof shingles missing within the neighborhood. Have to admit, the wind was has been scary.

The wind just started blowing pretty hard here - all of a sudden. I thought it was an airplane going over but it was just the wind! Looks like it will be on your doorstep too any time now Al...

I was just served a breakfast of french toast, poached eggs and sausage. We're having smoked salmon for lunch. I knew bugging out to a relatives was going to be tough, but damn, this is barbaric. :D

You think asking for a massage would be too much?

right after I told her off the electric went out.from 11.45 pm till 10.45 am the electric was out.we just got a generator hooked up and plugged the pump in and it started to run and at that instant the lights came on.Good Riddance Sandy

Everything is fine here - we never lost power. Did a quick walk around and there is no apparent damage, not even any downed trees. One big limb did fall from a tree on the edge of the yard - it fell right on top of the pile of logs that I am waiting to split, very convenient. Will be interesting to see what is happening out in the woods later today.

So I feel very lucky. Hope everyone else made it through ok.
