    New Woods and Male Bonding

Bob, I wasn't sure actually what that hole was. My first thought was a dug up pine snake den. But I've only seen pictures of dens and never first hand so I could be way off. A coyote digging or dugout could be right. Not really sure to be honest. Most of the coyote, fox dens I've seen are...

    From Bogs to Burn

Nice photos, I like when everything is frozen like this. It allows some access to areas I can't always venture into. What is very interesting is if you scroll down on that youtube page, there is a pine snake swimming on a pond. Something I've never seen. I especially find it amusing that...

    Tuckahoe WMA

I went back there the day it snowed. Drove back not very far because I was having problems with my four wheel drive. If I knew that was back there I would have kept on going, instead I went over to the atlantic county park. Nice pics I'm going to have to get out there next week.

    Cold Night For Backpack Camping

Yeah I agree with Badfish, I had the same feeling as a freshmen when I walked into to my microeconomics class at rutgers new brunswick. I felt like I was on a different planet. I simply went back to my dorm room and listened to guns and roses "one in a million" and subsequently felt much better.

    Hanseys Creek

Once again one of my favorite areas. Everytime I go down into that area it is like I'm the first person back there all year. If your into hawks, herons, eagles, they are in no short supply down there.

A few thoughts on the weather

Here is an interesting thought on how to deal with big corporations that may be causing global warming.http://blogs.business2.com/greenwombat/2007/02/report_carbon_t.html Whether global warming is a man made issue, or a natural warming of the earth I'm not sure. In my opinion there is nothing...

    What's/Who's near Mays Landing?

I went down today(tuesday) for a snow hike, walked about 8 miles around the entire park. Saw a bunch of deer, nice park though I will def. have to explore more of it come spring time. I checked out the nature center also. The only live animals they had was a pine snake, and a nonative blue...

    What's/Who's near Mays Landing?

Hey Boyd, thanks for posting that I will have to check out that park. How is the nature center they have there, any interesting animals there? Does the park get real crowded? I tend to stick to areas that have less people which means I will have a greater chance of seeing wildlife. I'll have...

    warm weather

I don't think global warming would contribute to a one day spike in the weather. It is simply a outlier in a unusual pattern. If it lasts for more than one day I may start to think it is global warming. I'll become concerned when each day we break a record high till then it is just el nino.

    philadelphia eagles

Everyone's saints fans now, there america's new team. Eagles just played bad bottom line, couldn't tackle, didn't catch the ball, and didn't get enough turnovers. Bottom line though is if shawn andrews doesn't get hurt the eagles win. Scott young false start penalty cost them. Third and...

    Friday in the Great Swamp

Nice pics, I especially like those savanahs. I really need to get out there this spring to search for reptiles, I would think those savanah's would have a good amount of wildlife around them.

    warm weather

Skiing in the poconos will def be hard on your knee with all the ice and hard pack they have. The first time I went to vermont I realized how much easier it is to ski on real snow...effortless really. It is alot easier skiing on snow versus tiny icey marbles. My brother in law always tells me...

    warm weather

Thanks Jimbo, in high school I use to go up to blue at least evey other weekend. Then I discovered vermont which made going back to the blue mountain very difficult. Its hard on your patience to go down a run that takes 2 minutes and then wait in a lift line for 1/2 hour. Thanks though.

    warm weather

Not sure if anyone on here are skiers but I have never seen in 20 years of skiing what is happening this year. Most of the pocono resorts haven't even been able to make man made snow. I saw a shot of camelback the other day and the trails were green. I have never seen this in january in 20...
